POST LENGTH I'm going to start with the posting minimum and what we expect here at Enchanted Nightmares. The posting minimum for this site is 50 words. I wanted Enchanted Nightmares to be a stress free and fun environment but the post minimum is placed because I really do not want to see any one liners because that would make it quite difficult for somebody to properly respond. I know that everyone is capable of posting more and being more creative.

NO GOD-MODING No God-modding. What is God modding you may ask? It is controlling somebody else's character without their permission. You, as a roleplayer, only have control over your own characters. Your character should also not know what another character is thinking unless your character is an approved legilimens.

RESPECT Please be respectful of your fellow members, adminstrators, and guests. That means no flaming or bashing anyone. It is extremely rude and if it gets out of hand it could get you banned from the site.

GRAPHICS Signature images should be no larger than 550 pixels wide and 300 pixels in height and avatars should be no larger than 150 pixels in width and 200 pixels in height. Otherwise it will stretch out the page and may get very annoying. If your graphic is larger than the size mentioned above then I'm sorry to say that it will be removed.

DISPLAY NAME Your display name must be your character's first and last name in order to be approved. Please do not include any symbols or unnecessary capitalizations.

NO MARY SUES Please keep your characters as realistic as possible. Yes, I know we are in the world of Harry Potter but even Harry Potter and the other characters were realistic. They all had their flaws and your character should have theirs too.

CHARACTER NAMES When choosing a character name please stay clear of celebrity names or famous book or movie character names. We want to encourage creativity.

BOOK CANON RELATIONS Our plot takes place somewhere around 50 years after Harry Potter vanquished the Dark Lord so we will accept canon relations that are reasonable. You are also allowed to play book canons but please keep in mind the time period of this roleplay and how old the characters are.

GRAMMAR Please use proper grammar in in-character boards. I really don't want to see any chat speak there because they can be difficult to understand at times plus it is annoying. Also please use proper capitalization.

RATING Since this site is mainly focused on the adult world I don't want to limit anyone's roleplaying because I want to keep this site suitable for everyone. So if you must roleplay sexual content then please place an M for mature in the subject so that no one comes across it unexpectedly. But please don't go over board with the sexual content I really don't want to see this site turn into a sex centered board.

CHARACTER LIMITS There are absolutely no character limits. You can make as many characters as you please just as long you are able to keep them active. If you are tired of a certain character and want to get rid of them, then why don't you have them killed off to further the site's plot.

ACTIVITY CHECKS I'm really not a fan of activity checks because then you are going to see a lot of guest accounts around and if that character ever wants to return they would have to start from scratch. Instead if your character goes inactive you will be sorted into the "Missing" character group and you will be free to return at any time. But if you decide to take someone's character request, then your character will be put up for adoption on the person's discretion.
